We had a lot of requests for it so we decided to learn it. Also threw in a new cover tune, a new rendition of "Personal", and a jam session. So here's the question....what did you think? We did most of the tracking with co producer Hugo Ferreira (Tantric) and finishing the rest in Cincy with our good friend Rob Nadler. Much more excited about the tune now that it is in Rob's hands..He knows what he's doing, and knows it well. Sugar will be recording some background vocals within a couple weeks and we most likely will have a bad ass tune for you all. It was cold, and it was windy but we're pretty excited to see what shots we get. It was our first time working with photographer Anna Burke. I met her at an art show last winter and talked about doing a shoot at that time. She's got a great eye and has done some very impressive work and we're all looking forward to see her shots. We wanted to have a December date but things weren't working out. Halfway through our conversation his phone dies and I decide to go upstairs and check the internet. I seen I had a message from my buddies @ 96 Rock where the subject read: WHAT'S 8KOUNT DOING TOMORROW NIGHT? So I click it and read it and they ask if we could fill in for Rev Theory for their "Sickest Christmas Ever" show with Sick Puppies and Adelitas Way the next night (12/15) @ Bogarts. That was an easy answer!! haha ;) I already had plans to attend the show in the first place. I was bummed to hear Rev Theory had to cancel but very blessed 96 Rock thought of us to open the show. It was a GREAT night!! We did a half hour opening slot and played to nearly a 1,000 people. Probably our biggest indoor show for sure. Sold a LOT of merch. Possibly broke a merch selling record that night for ourselves. Ran into a lot of people who knew who we were. Ran into a lot of people who didn't, and really liked us a lot. Always a good feeling when you can win over a crowd. So thanks again to all of our friends at 96 Rock in Cincinnati and all of the "Rockheads" who came out to support the show. Got to meet the Sick Puppies and play another great show with our boys in Adelitas Way. Great band, great dudes! Both bands were class acts and a pleasure to share the stage with!  Thanx for giving us one more great show this year and a great way to end 2009 for 8KOunt.  Much more coming in 2010! I'm just now getting up at 11:30am the day after our show with Days Of The New. It was a great time! Always love playing McGuffys....it's like our home! When we got on stage it felt like we had to win the crowd over. Definitely could tell people didn't wanna hear another opening band haha..... I always like a challenge so the guys and I gave it a 110% and I believe we succeeded ;) Sold a lot of CD's and made a lot of new fans! I just bought "Life Starts Now" by Three Days Grace...gotta say I LOVE it! Probably my favorite release from them so far. "Going Down" slams! Favorite song off that cd. I also just bought the new KISS CD "Sonic Boom", as well as Megadeth's new one "Endgame".  Both are fantastic. If you know me, you know I'm a huge KISS fan. One of their best releases in a LONG time! Gotta hand it to them. "Danger Us" is a killer track off of that one. The Megadeth one is really heavy. Good for head banging moments, which we all need from time to time or I believe we will go insane lol. The new Paramore is very good. Also if you haven't yet, and you like rock bands with a good chick singer. Check out Halestorm...probably one of my favorite bands at the moment. Killer band and their lead singer can belt it out. Incredible! There has been a lot of great music released lately. LOVING it!
