2. Nickelback or Muse? Nickelback. I respect Muse and all, but I’d just rather listen to Nickelback.

7. If you could drive anything now, what would it be? While I’m interested in the new 458 Spider, I’d have to go with my standard- Ferrari California!!

Another Tune from the Grooveyard of Forgotten Fav's!!

OK- here's another tune from the vault. This one is called "Your Enemy." This was the song that we ended with for a while. It was written during the Iraq War as a tribute to the men and women fighting over there. It had particular meaning to me because my brother is a SEAL team member that was over there many times. On top of that, Robby is a veteran and Dayton has a large military presence because of the AF Base.

We used to dedicate this to all those who were serving or had served before the end. Anyway, this was another of those tunes recorded in the middle of nowhere, KY. The audio quality isn't as good as most of the 8K stuff our fans have come to expect, but it's a cool song with a lot of great memories for me.

Forgotten Treasure from the 8KOunt Vault! (First 8K Demo Song)

I’m happy to share a song from the 8KOunt archives that most of our current fans have never heard! “Free From Me” was the first song we ever recorded for our first demo. While we sold a few copies at shows, it was never made available on iTunes or other media.

The song was recorded in Kettle, KY (yeah, I’d never heard of it either). The owner of the studio was a New Yorker that had moved out to the middle of nowhere and set up a recording studio. I remember joking at the time that he must have been a mobster in witness protection! The accommodations that they promised were, let’s just say not as advertised. From that session, we recorded four tunes of which this is the first.

You can hear early influences (Rob Zombie, etc) and even though it isn’t the same quality of recording that our later stuff was, the song was a good one. In fact, it was good enough that it was the first song in our set for probably the first year of the bands existence!

Enjoy!!!
